Police, led by the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department, found marijuana growing in a house they raided at 3551 Allan (CQ) in Shiawassee County (southeast of Chesaning). They seized marijuana, marijuana plants and plant growing materials that Saginaw Sheriff Charles Brown valued at $500,000 (4/25/2008). The person suspected of growing the pot was not present at the time of the raid and police are seeking his capture. There were marijuana plants of many sizes growing under lights in different areas of the house. Bags full of the drug were found in a freezer in a barn on the property.
